1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser to support functions such as an authenticated session or a preference you request. This policy describes cookies placed by the ACES Academy application on its own domain.
2. Cookies used in this version
- PHPSESSID: first-party session cookie. It supports authentication, form protection and the language selected during the session. It is created when you use the platform, lasts for the browser session and does not contain your password. Application authentication expires after 30 minutes of inactivity or eight hours in total.
- aces_cookie_notice: first-party preference cookie. It stores only the notice version you chose to dismiss, avoiding repeated notices on each page. It is created when you save the preference and lasts up to 180 days. It does not contain an email, account identifier or advertising data.
3. Essential cookies and your choice
Session cookies are required for the functions you request and security. The notice cookie remembers your choice. This application version does not install analytics, advertising or social media cookies or load such tools.
The current notice therefore provides information and an “Essential only” option. It does not authorise optional cookies. If non-essential services are introduced, they must be identified and remain blocked until the applicable prior choice has been made, with refusal as accessible as acceptance.
4. Viewing or changing preferences
Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to view the cookies used and save the essential-only preference. You may show the notice again or remove cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie may prevent login and protected form submissions.
5. External services
Academy images, styles and code are served locally. Online sessions are opened through links without automatically embedding the meeting service on this page. When you follow an external link, consult its policies; that service may set its own cookies on its domain.
This description covers the delivered application. Services added by hosting, a proxy or later changes must be included in the inventory and user information.
